Thailand's NTC to Auction New 3G Licences in October 2007

According to a report by Thailand's Bangkok Post, the chairman of Thailand's NTC (National Telecommunications Commission) announced that it is planning to kick off new 3G licence auction in October this year, with the final framework on new licences slated for completion by September. Furthermore, allocations of the 5GHz used for 3G services are scheduled to be completed by late 2007. The NTC however declined to reveal further details regarding this plan.
